Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates in Germany over 100 years ago, he developed the practise to strengthen the human mind and body using a series of controlled movements and “apparatus”. Pilates is a full body work-out that will improve your core strength, balance, stability and flexibility through dynamic movement.
Once Andria balances your body using Bowen Therapy, you can further improve your posture, muscle tone and strength by practising Pilates in our classes.
Balance Me offers Pilates for every level from beginner through to advanced, meaning you are supported as your ability improves.
Balance Me offers Private Pilates sessions as well as group Beginner Mat and Open Mat classes. Pilates classes will teach you to sense and activate the muscles that form the basis of good posture and allow you to maintain this posture and alignment through correct movement patterns.
Based in Hamilton, classes are 55 min long, and this time will fly by as you tune in to your body, listening and responding while you relax and energise. Strengthening your postural system will help you stand taller, be more mobile and feel leaner and more positive about your body.
